Filton Academy – Junior Coaching & Super League Update 

Junior Coaching Session at Filton will start again the week after half term

The Junior Coaching Session at Filton Academy will start again the week after half term. The coaching course will be resumed again on 27th February 2008 Wednesday as usual. 

As part of their community coaching project, the Filton College Table Tennis academy is running junior coaching sessions on Wednesday evenings. Mainly targeted at 12 to 15 year olds. The coaching will be run by Choi-Sze To (Hong Kong Junior International), Bernard Nash and some of the Filton Academy players. 

Venue: Filton College Wise Campus

Date and Time: Every Wednesday from 6-7:30pm

Cost: £2 per session

Super League at Bristol Sport Academy on every Wednesday 

Super League is run on every Wednesday by Bristol Table Tennis Academy. It is opened to the public with different level of skills. It provides an opportunity for you to play against players from all over the country. Players like Gavin Rumgay (Ranked 300 in the world ranking), Craig Howieson (Scottish Junior No.) and Chinese Star player Jing-Wei Zhao (Ranked 12 in England) are regulars in the Super League. Wales international, Ryan Jenkins occasionally joins us as a guest player as well.  

How does the Super League run?

Players will be divided into different divisions (division 1 is the top division). Each division will have 4-8 players (depend how many people enrol for the Super League for the night). Players will play against every player in their divisions. The top two players will promote to a higher division and the last two players will be dropped to a lower division in the following week Super League.
